The Head Coach of the camp is Paul Atkins
Paul has played for Northamptonshire CCC, Surrey CCC and Buckinghamshire CCC between the years of 1982 to the present day.

· He is an ECB Level 3 coach with experience as Buckinghamshire CCC Head Coach (1999-2008); MCC U17 Head Coach (2008) and Kwa Zulu Natal U19s (2008-present day).

Course Content

Elite Sports Cricket will focus on the development of each child’s batting, bowling and fielding skills, using the latest in innovative and fun coaching techniques from around the world.

There will be small sided games and skills challenges as well as the opportunity for the children to pit their skills against the coaches and maybe even get them out or hit them for 6!

A message from Rob Maier

To all the members of Chesham CC

I have been fortunate enough to have been given a wonderful opportunity to work in sport at Chesham CC for the past six years.
Whilst I believe that I am moving on for good reasons, I am sorry to leave, and I wish to thank you all for your support during my time with
the club, which I have found to be a fun, enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

Not too many people get to do what they want to in their lives but I have been lucky enough to have been involved in a forward thinking and
pro-active club. Chesham CC is the benchmark club in the area in so many ways providing clear player pathways and opportunities to so many
young and aspiring cricketers.

To single out people is difficult so please forgive me if I have not mentioned you. So many of you give willingly of your time which is what makes
the club so strong. But I would like to single out people that I think need a special word of thanks and to me are the real heart-beat of Chesham CC:

John Royals for all his hard work and efforts as chairman. Not many people get to see what John does behind the scenes but let me assure you that
it is immense and you should all feel very fortunate that you have John leading the club - an inspiration to us all.

Steve Ayres introduced me to the club way back in 2003 and I have learnt so much from him. A real team man and Chesham man through and through.
I always felt during my time at the club that whenever Steve was involved we would be ok. Steve is back making decisions in his role as club secretary
and he will also be actively coaching again so on the back of that everything will be "ok." Steve you are a good friend. Thanks for everything.

Graham Rance does so much work at the cricket club from cleaning glasses to paying the bills. A real gentleman and great servant of Chesham CC.
Don't take this fella for granted.

Andy Sergeant - Another good friend who spends more time at Chesham CC then he does at home. This man has done just about every job there is to
do at a cricket club. I will miss our beers after practice in the summer.

Tina Turner - the girls side has grown into providing a woman's cricket team which competes in club competitions and you started all this this with your
dreams and a passion for the game - long may it continue. You are an absolute credit to everyone at Chesham CC and you have provided something very
special for all of us.

Lastly but by no means least Paul Hughes Daeth - Our junior players are without a doubt the envy of the county regularly winning the Bucks cup and often
providing in the region of four to five players to the county at just about every level. The amount of behind the scenes works that goes into putting our teams
on to the field is huge and all mostly down to Paul's efforts. I have spent many hours working and coaching with Paul and he always makes sense with his
logic and sound cricket decision making. He is immensely passionate about the club and takes a real interest and pride in ensuring that Chesham CC delivers
excellence to all young players who choose to play here. Paul it has been a pleasure and I am grateful for everything, you are a good friend.

Lastly a message to the youngsters - All of you are faced with plenty of challenges as you grow up. Enjoy the friendships that come with playing this game,
learn to smile when things get tough but don't ever forget to front up. Go nose to nose with the opposition until that last ball is bowled and never give up.
Find ways to contribute when the going is hard. Wear your shirt with pride and make the most of every opportunity to get better - practise hard as this is what
you will take to the middle with you. Become self reliant players that can think on their feet. Make mistakes but learn from them and move forward. No one can
ask for more than this. Good luck to each and everyone of you it's been a great pleasure.

A final message to the club:

"The crack of bat against ball amid that humming and buzzing of summer sound is still to me a note of pure joy that raised haunting memories of friends and
happy days"

I will be working as a freelance coach and have already put in place a winter coaching program with Chesham CC so I am not lost to the club completely. I look
forward to seeing you on all on the cricket field at some stage in the future. Good luck and all the best for 2010.
